Timothy W. Schultz, President and Executive Director
Tim Schultz has served as President of the Boettcher Foundation since 1996. A Colorado native born in Grand Junction and a graduate of Colorado State University, Tim started his career as a banker and rancher in Meeker, Colorado. He served Rio Blanco County as a Commissioner for 2 terms before moving to Denver in 1982 to become Commissioner of Agriculture. In 1987 he was appointed Executive Director of the Department of Local Affairs. While there, he designed a program of community development for Colorado’s small towns and served as the first chairman of the Colorado Economic Development Commission. Tim also served on the Colorado Wildlife Commission and chaired the organization for two years. Following his career in government, he became a consultant for the law firm of Arnold & Porter, as well as Chairman and President of the nonprofit Colorado Open Lands.
Katie S. Kramer, MBA, Vice President and Assistant Executive Director
As Vice President and Assistant Executive Director of the Boettcher Foundation, one of Colorado’s oldest private philanthropic organizations, Katie Kramer has come full-circle. A fourth-generation Colorado native, Kramer was selected as a Boettcher Scholar in 1993 and in 1997 joined the Foundation where she has served in various roles with increasing responsibility. In her current position, she is responsible for all operational aspects of the $270M endowed foundation, including the administration of more than $15M annually awarded in grants and scholarships throughout the State of Colorado.
Kramer’s extensive community involvement includes leadership positions on local and national boards including the National Scholarship Providers Association, Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, and the Denver Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
In 2006 she was named the Colorado Leadership Alliance Alumni of the Year by the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation. Kramer is also the recipient of the Colorado Council on High School / College Relations’ Outstanding Service Award and Hall of Fame Award.
Kramer is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she was a Presidents Leadership Scholar and honors graduate with a triple major of Leadership Studies, Organizational Management and Human Resources Management. Her pursuit of excellence in leadership is ongoing. In 2002, she attended the Colorado Institute for Leadership Training and was a member of the 2006 class of Leadership Denver. In 2009, she completed her Executive MBA at the University of Denver as an honors graduate.
Aside from Kramer’s commitment to Colorado and deep passion for service, she enjoys music and the myriad outdoor activities that make Colorado the coveted and unique place it is. As a native and in her travels with the Foundation, Kramer has visited every county in the State of Colorado and has also traveled extensively on an international level. Kramer lives in Arvada with her husband, Joe and two sons.
Katy Craig, MA, Director, Scholarship Program
As Director of the Boettcher Foundation Scholarship Program, Katy manages all aspects of the $3+ million Scholarship Program. With the Foundation since 2005, Katy has also served as the Program Officer for over $2 million in capital grants.Katy attended the University of Denver (DU) as a Boettcher Scholar herself where she was a Chancellor’s Scholar and received the university-wide Pioneer Ambassadors, Distinguished Senior and Pioneer Awards. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 2004, she completed her MA in Literary Criticism, also at DU.
Katy’s early career included serving as the Assistant Director of the University Honors Program at DU while simultaneously holding the positions of First-Year English Instructor, Honors Seminar Instructor, Honors Symposium Instructor and Nelson Hall Faculty Resident. After leaving the University, Katy traveled and worked in Central and South America before joining the Boettcher Foundation at her current position.
Lynnea Louison, MBA, Operations Manager
After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Psychology and Spanish, Lynnea launched into a career focusing in the Human Resources field. During her career she completed her Master’s in Business Administration graduating from the University of Denver. Before joining the Boettcher Foundation, Lynnea worked with Tony’s Market, a large family and locally owned business in the Denver area. Lynnea joined the Boettcher Foundation in January 2013, bringing more than 15 years of experience in human resources, business operations, business development, and strategic planning. In her current role as Operations Manager, Lynnea covers Human Resources, Communications, IT, Event Planning and Project Management.
Julie T. Lerudis, CPA, Director, Grants Program
After graduating with honors from New Mexico State University with a BA, Julie began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. She brings more than 16 years experience in accounting and project management in the nonprofit, healthcare, and real estate sectors. Before joining the Boettcher Foundation in 2007, Julie was an auditor at Kundinger, Corder & Engle in Denver, a firm that specializes in nonprofit accounting. She is a frequent presenter and speaker at nonprofit financial management seminars and has served on the boards of four nonprofit organizations.
Joanne Flores Moses, CPA, Director, Finance
Joanne is responsible for the areas of accounting, finance, and investment administration at the Boettcher Foundation. With the Foundation since 1998, Joanne earlier served as Treasurer and Corporate Secretary of ARC International, Ltd. Before that, she began her career in the audit division of KPMG. Joanne is proud to have been a Boettcher Scholar at the University of Denver where she graduated with an accounting major, and holds a certified public accountant certificate.
Stephanie Panion, MA, Scholarship Program Coordinator
Stephanie is a Colorado native who was born and raised in Pueblo. She attended the University of Denver, graduating in 2002 with a BA in Communication Studies. She went on to work at DU’s Graduate School of Social Work, serving as the Admissions Assistant, and later as the Development, Outreach, and Communications Coordinator. Stephanie earned an MA in Higher Education in 2010.
Leslie Baldwin, Grants Program Coordinator
Leslie is a Denver native who graduated with honors from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a BS in Criminal Justice, after which she promptly moved abroad to spend 8 years living and working in Tokyo, northern Thailand and the French Alps. Finally returning to Denver, she worked for Tattered Cover Bookstore for several years selling books, managing staff and supervising Special Orders and Internet sales. After the retail/literary stint, Leslie went to work for Field Services Unlimited, also based in Denver, where for 6 years she served alternately (and sometimes concurrently) as a Project Manager and as Director of Research supporting local, national and international companies with commercial construction and design projects. She enjoys travel, alpine skiing, and the wonderland that is Colorado. She is excited to be part of the Boettcher Foundation team.
Audra Palakodety, Executive Assistant
Audra works directly with the Trustees of the Boettcher Foundation and with President and Vice President of the Foundation. Audra brings more than 8 years of experience as an Executive Assistant and has lived in Denver for most of her life. Her career includes work supporting a wide range of Executives from Xcel Energy’s Business Systems CFO and CTO to the Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs. Just before joining the Foundation, Audra was with Madison Capital Management, where she was the Executive Assistant to the CEO and President of the company.
Christina Gauron, Administrative Assistant
Christina is not only a new addition to the Boettcher Foundation in 2011 as Administrative Assistant but also new to Colorado. She graduated from Wheaton College in 2006 with a major in Art History & Studio Art having grown up in Boston. She went to work for The Food Project and The Irish Immigration Center coordinating youth programs and assisting with fundraising events. She also put some time in working for The Brockton Rox Baseball Team doing merchandise and special events before living in the U.S. Virgin Islands for a year working at Maho Bay Eco Camp and making her way to Colorado and the Boettcher Foundation.
