BOETTCHER CULTURAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
In 2006, the Boettcher Foundation launched the Boettcher Cultural Leadership Program, a three-year statewide leadership development program for Colorado's arts and cultural sector. This program has been created in collaboration with National Arts Strategies, the nation's premier provider of executive education for the arts and culture sector.
The Boettcher Cultural Leadership Program builds on the Foundation's longstanding commitment to the arts and cultural sector and its history
of promoting leadership in Colorado. The program is designed to create a community of cultural leaders equipped
with the knowledge and skills to respond to an ever-changing environment
and build lasting institutions. The Program consists of a curriculum of leadership education, in the form of semi-annual seminars, and additional assistance to apply new concepts to the challenges each organization faces.
In December 2005, the first cohort was selected and included the following organizations: Central City Opera House Association,
Arvada Center for the Performing Arts, Dairy Center for the Arts, Colorado Children's Chorale, Denver Museum of Nature & Science,
Denver Botanic Gardens, Inc., Colorado Ballet, Curious Theatre Company, Denver Film Society, Sangre de Cristo Arts &
Conference Center, Creede Repertory Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Opera Colorado,
and Steamboat Springs Arts Council.
