Scholar Grants

Scholar Grants are a way for our Boettcher Scholars to receive funding to go above and beyond their regular coursework and accomplish special learning experiences either internationally or within the US.

As an enhancement to the Scholarship, the Grant and the Grant Application Process were designed to help Scholars:

• Develop high-caliber enrichment projects, skills in writing successful proposals and experience with rigorous review processes.
• Increase their knowledge of grant-making, leading them to be more competitive for future professional and academic awards.
• Demonstrate the exemplary behavior and accomplishment that we expect of Boettcher Scholars.

The Scholar Grant Program offers two types of grants in five categories:

EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT GRANTS

Each Boettcher Scholar has the opportunity to apply for an Educational Enrichment Grant of up to $3,000 for projects or programs in four categories: Academic/ Professional Development, Internships, Research and Special Classes/Field Sessions.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION GRANT

Scholars can apply to trade one half of one year’s scholarship for a $5,500 grant towards an international education experience, OR apply to trade one year’s scholarship for an $8,600 grant towards an international education experience.
